Yes car ownership has been an issue but there are other fundamental problems as I mentioned like the strength of the railway unions and their current uprising. The irony is that the latest rounds of poor service provided has increased the use of private cars. One small ray of light however is that many have resorted to cycling simply to get about more easily.
