When I said variety I was referring to the routes and modes. The problem with a cap is that someone has to pay for it.

Also, I'm assuming your £6 example is by bus, but Hyndland to Kelvinhall Subway is like a 20 minute walk, then Subway to Govan is £3 for a capped day ticket. This is my point about folk wanting door to door travel for low prices.
