I mean, we're assuming we know the Starbuck guy's intentions and that those intentions were creepy. Maybe the guy was just being friendly, maybe he fancied OP and thought of a way to break the ice, maybe he genuinely wanted to talk to her with the intention of building the courage to ask her out. I see absolutely no problem with these. This is something guys would have done pre-internet to actually talk with girls. Now it's labelled as "harrassment".

I don't talk to girls much but can remember a time in the gym when I approached a girl to ask if she was using the squat rack in front of her. She looked at me as if I was creeping on her or something. I get that girls have to he wary of guys in some situations but... c'mon.
