so a few days ago i was chatting with city planners and i love that they're going through the effort of limiting cars from the city center. most successful cities all over the world have already done this and replaced it with infrastructure that prioritizes walking and cycling. which is something that's been sorely needed in glasgow. they were also telling me about the plans to connect up many of the cycle lanes that just end and kick you onto the pavement or the road.

i love that there's so many great views in glasgow. some great scenery.

i think we have some great parks and green spaces. plus can we talk about how nice the canal is? it's just fantastic.

but the bad things.

glasgow motorists are usually some of the saltiest folk out there. my friend tried driving in city center for the first time in 10 years recently and she just said it felt like everyone was annoyed at her for following the highway code and doing things like not rushing through a yellow light or going 30 on a 30 road. honestly, i don't drive in town unless i absolutely need to. i'd rather just take the bike.

i also think there's a big issue in glasgow with the culture surrounding the 2 major football teams. i don't even care about football but i keep up with it so i know when to avoid city center.
