| Comment | I’ve been to London, Edinburgh and Manchester this summer, and all feel significantly cleaner than Glasgow.
There is still litter in these cities, and I couldn’t put my finger on why exactly they seemed cleaner until last week - it’s the weeds. There are weeds, grass and piles of shite growing out of every kerb and pavement across the whole city. Didn’t see any of this in the other cities. I’m sure the flowers are good for the bees, but it really adds to the general dirtiness. Leaves aren’t cleaned up anywhere anymore, so the kerbs and roads have become flower beds. |
