| Comment | I think Glasgow usually do prioritise those students, but can’t satisfy the demanded this year. Deferrals due to Covid are all coming back on top of increased numbers. There is so much private student accommodation in Glasgow now, and the Unis don’t have ‘first dibs’ on them - it’s a free for all.
Glasgow Uni has always been oversubscribed though. They take on first year students for particular courses, knowing they only have enough places for a certain number to complete their masters. Those students that don’t make the grade after first year are told they can’t progress and to pick another subject - Psychology is one example. |
