If the government are serious about climate change then they should definitely make them legal here. Not just as rentals but they should make them insurance, taxable and MOTable so people can use them on the roads.

I own one that goes up to 30mph and can keep up with traffic. It has a range of around 50 miles so is good for long distance commutes. So many people think they're dangerous and that a single pothole will end you but they really aren't. It's the same with any vehicle that they're as dangerous as the user.

The only downside to having one is that they aren't 100% waterproof (regardless of advertisement claims) and really shouldn't be used in the rain. Nothing a little funding thrown at a green, clean and emission free method of transport wouldn't fix.

So many car users are polluting our air just so that they can drive their solo self without any luggage a few miles here and there. I reckon e-scooters are a perfect replacement for these kind of trips. Fuck the haters.
