They're actually about to be made legal soon in the UK. They're going to have their own separate vehicle class from motors and cycles. They'll likely be allowed on roads and cycle paths soon.
Is that so? From all the reviews I've read regarding fast e-scooters many owners have owned theirs for a year plus. Some have thousands of miles on their motors and they're still going strong. My e-bike goes around 25mph and the motor is perfectly fine after a year.
"Nobody will repair them": Pure Electric and Skootz are two shops in Glasgow alone that offer services and repairs.
