| Comment | As far as I'm aware they can put you on gardening leave, usually this happens if say an Iceland manager is going to Asda down the road to be there new manager and they're afraid he may poach all the best staff, similar if someone is going to a rival company and they don't want them to hear information that they can take to their new job.
When I worked retail when someone was still on their trial period and that they handed in a two week notice, if they were crap or we needed to cut hours then for the most part just told them to go there and then. But if they were a good worker or really needed the staff then let them work their notice. |
