"Tend to drive more responsibly after a test": I'm starting to think you don't use the roads often. It's hard enough to even cross the road in Glasgow without a cunt speeding towards you.

I highly doubt they'll make it so you'd need a licence for e-scooters. Insurance maybe but this will likely be way cheaper than car insurance. They're going to have their own separate vehicle class so are not in the same category as cars. No comparison.

"The police told me so": The police enforce the law they don't make the law. They won't know future laws before they've been formed.

What motor are we talking about here? My e-bike or e-scooter? If the former: my motor (and battery) is fine, thank you for your concern. It's a 3k bike with a shimano steps motor and has been going strong for a year and a bit. It's outdated it's warranty.

If the latter: this hasn't been de-restricted. It's been created for these speeds. Take your concerns up with the manufacturer who have nothing but excellent reviews for their products over the years.
