Not sure if it's just me but the weather in Glasgow has improved quite a bit over the last few years. I don't recall it dropping below zero significantly for quite some time for extended periods. If your staying in the city centre it'll be warmer than outside the city.
Snow in the city centre is rarely ever an issue.
Plenty of hiking shops about for waterproof jackets. You will likely stand out quite a bit as most folk don't really prepare for rain and just accepts it happens. I only own one jacket and for the majority of the year I wear a hooded jumper. |
