There's more cars than cyclists so obviously they will be the biggest killer.
Bad drivers get well documented and there are things like registration plates, ANPR cameras, insurance, V5 logbooks to track who commits road traffic offences. You can batter on any bike, right on to a road and drive like a cock and if no one sees your face, you're away scot free.
And aye, just like motorists, there's a very, very few bad apples that ruin the bunch for cyclists too. The vast majority of cyclists are sound, but if you come to r/Glasgow every cyclist is a responsible road user and every motorist is a BMW owning, non indicating, 50 in a 30 wanker. |
