It’s fucked up but it’s necessary to allow freedom of assembly to all citizens equally - similarly to how the ACLU defended the freedom of speech rights of the KKK, Nation of Islam and indeed Nazi organisations, Glasgow City Council cannot pick and choose whose beliefs are righteous enough to allow freedom of assembly.
I am with you, I can’t stand the OO. I live on Argyle Street and it feels like almost half the mornings I wake up to flutes and drums and a bad mood for the day. But as I said, I think a necessary evil given the bigger context. |
