You could claim it off your home insurance, if applicable. Your provider would get in touch with the gardening companies insurance and claim it off them. If you don't then I would blag telling the company and neighbour anyway, "Fix it or I'll claim off the insurance company and it'll be fixed and you've paid for it regardless." Hope you get it sorted.
