Go into town and over to the GOMA (gallery of modern art). It’s not massive so a wander round in the morning is possible. Also outside it is the statue of Wellington which always has at least one traffic cone on his head and the image has become one of the symbols often used to represent glasgow.

There a walking tour by walkingtoursin.com that starts at 10.30 in the city centre. Might be worth a look

This one sounds weird but there are tours of Glasgow central station and one of them starts in the morning. It takes you behind the scenes and covers a lot of the history of the station and Glasgow. With your interest in architecture it is definitely worth a look. I’ve been on this tour and enjoyed it (was pre covid so a while back).

Go for a walk down Buchanan street. Is worth a look for the architecture. There is a massive iron art nouveau peacock on the building above Princes square. Princes square is worth a short walk round to see the architecture of the inside, and maybe a coffee in one of the cafes/restaurants for a break
