Unfortunately the law changed in Scotland and these private fines do have teeth to them now and will be somewhat supported in court. Of course it’s probably unlikely one fine will result in court action (although not impossible). I wouldn’t risk it and just pay within the discounted period IF you are not able to have it cancelled quickly. If you have receipts for purchases spanning the 4 hours I’m sure Tesco or silverburn management would be likely to cancel the ticket for a good customer of theirs. |
