Not all local brokers will do personal lines insurance - Laurie Ross is a local broker that does. I’m not recommending them, they’re just the only one I could think of off the top of my head.
They will go to the whole of the market and get quotes for you - they will have experience of obtaining cover for ‘non-standard’ properties, for example, those in flood zones, non-standard construction etc. Comparison sites typically don’t offer quotes for these types of property because they need a human underwriter to understand and accept the quirks of the property.
I can’t think why the number of flats would be a reason not to offer you cover, there’s plenty other blocks with as many flats - more likely it’s flagging up as a high crime postcode. |
