I think new builds get bad rep based on outdated stereotypes of “thin walls” when really it’s the modern tenement conversions that have a piece of paper instead of a wall between the rooms.

Don’t get me wrong, I know some new builds are shit and I have lived in one, but from my personal experience most of them are a much better option, (especially if they were built after soundproofing regulations were put in place). They are also warmer and you tend not to hear your neighbour have a conversation with their spouse WORD FOR WORD
