| Comment | Yes it is council run. I used to work for an agency doing waitressing and did a few shifts in places like the Lighthouse, City Chambers, Tramway etc. The council waste an enormous amount of money on fancy dinners at these places. They would have all their own staff plus hire a bunch of agency that they didn’t need, on a relatively high rate of pay at the time. Mind you, getting paid to stand around and go home with a portion of whatever dinner was being served wasn’t too shabby at all 🤣 |
