Comment | The Kilpatrick Hills is the easiest places with a decent view / walk, you can get the train pretty much directly there. Cathkin Braes is also reasonably nice for not really leaving the city.
Cobbler is great, there are a lot of relatively easy munros around that area as well, Walk Highlands is a great website for both routes and some help with getting there - [https://www.walkhighlands.co.uk/lochlomond/the-cobbler.shtml](https://www.walkhighlands.co.uk/lochlomond/the-cobbler.shtml)
This site is also useful just for the munros, but generally those are good scenic walks - [https://steverabone.com/MunroWalker/munros\_by\_public\_transport.htm#Section%201%20Loch%20Lomond%20to%20Loch%20Tay](https://steverabone.com/MunroWalker/munros_by_public_transport.htm#Section%201%20Loch%20Lomond%20to%20Loch%20Tay)
Conik Hill is nice but a ballache to get to by transport.
Also special mention for Edinburgh and heading up Arthurs Seat and around the Crags, mostly for the downvotes on r/glasgow but one of the most scenic views you are going to get in the middle of a city |
