Yes, I am OK, thank you. I was a bit shaken, as I am both a cyclist AND a lorry driver, so it touched me deeply. I also called the ambulance, and they wanted me to check the pulse and everything, so I went to check on the girl (but some people were already helping, and they knew what they were doing, so didn't want to get in the way). But I was close enough to see everything, and, sparing the details, my first thougt was "my god, that looks really bad" and I just hoped, that the modern medicine can do wonders...
Nice that somebody cares about me, but I think we should first and foremost have some thoughts about the poor cyclists family, and then about the lorry driver - even if it was his fault (I haven't seen the accident itself, I arrived just a moment later) he must really feel shit now, he surely didn't wanted to kill anyone... |
