| Comment | Personally I will hang back from the front vehicle there (and loads of other places) unless I am sure I can get into the advanced stop box (assuming some twat hasn't occupied it). As I know the timings from the previous lights, I kinda know when to wait. I'm probably one of the few.
When in the cage I have nearly taken out a 9 year old on a bike who came up my inside at a junction. Luckily for them I am also a motorcyclist so I *always* shoulder check and saw them. I really should have stopped, given them a telling off and lamped the father who was riding behind them. Was somewhat distracted by *not* killing them and not causing an accident by my evasive swerve into the oncoming lane.
The only red light I regularly ride through is the North-bound just after the O2 Academy and I don't even apologise for that one. Why? Got a wee green bike on the lights and (I could be wrong here) I have a feeling that the pavement there is part of a poorly signed cycleway, not that I'm on the pavement.
Anyway, long an short of it; we're all good people, all twats at times but if we look out for each other we will all get home.
Unless you stop in the advanced stop for not reason. That's a paddlin'! |
