Everyone who lives in the same area for decades always says that.

GWR between Kelvinbridge & the Botanics is very far from a shithole - it's got loads of quality pubs, restaurants, cafes, cool shops, etc. One of the restaurants there got a Michelin star last year; if that's "Going downhill" I dunno what it would take to make people think the area is improving??
