Comment | As previously stated a decent pair of waterproof shoes is a must. For coats I find that the stuff that is simply waterproof isn’t enough to keep me dry and warm. I got a waterproof that is more like a soft shell, which means it’s sort of fleeced on the side inside.
It doesn’t get suuuuper cold in Glasgow but I have very sensitive ears so I rely on ear warmers a lot.
You’ll see a lot of people wearing puffy jackets, that’s because they’re light weight and comfortable and very useful but they tend not to be waterproof.
Personally I don’t bother with heavy coats, i think layers make it a lot easier to manage the changeable weather. |
