On another note: life in Glasgow is pretty informal, you could turn up for a concert or the opera in casual clothes and no-one would be upset like it is on some other countries. The same applies for a lot of work places but obviously not everywhere. It's also a very tolerant place so if you wanted to bring your gallibaya people won't be bothered either.
