Comment | Might not be what you’re looking for as it’s more freelancing work but… writing music for commercials can be pretty lucrative if you’ve got a good level of music production on the go.
Demos for pitches are paid, then of course major fee if you win a pitch + royalties. I started pursuing it a year ago and landed my first ad a month ago. That’s with a fair few pitches I didn’t win but again.. all demos are paid too.
Now this isn’t all clients of course but for some major projects I had a chance to pitch for, the fee has been £18k for 15s of music. Wish I’d won that one of course but again, a couple hundred pounds for your demo is better than a slap in the face, plus you can recycle those demos for future pitches.
