John Swinney has said there are ‘finite limits’ on public funding.
Those who get/got a pay deal first have benefitted & the rest will be left behind. There isn’t an endless pot of money - as much as I would like it to be.
I mean in an ideal world the person would get the exact care or service they need. But unfortunately these things are limited by budgets - much like wages. If everyone gets a wage rise - then services/goods/etc will increase in price. Whether people want to believe that or not - can’t pay someone more money and not recoup the cost of that elsewhere. |
