I too went to Jordanhill decades ago and it was a horrific experience. My peers were fickle, cruel and nasty, resulting in five years of non-stop and innovative ways of bullying: I was cyberbullied years before it became a mainstream term. While I had two or three inspiring teachers, the majority were useless, egotistical and/or predatory, using any opportunity they could to belittle and demean students and hiding affairs from parents and students.

While I was academically able, I stopped giving a shit towards the end of fifth year and just wanted out, leaving with mediocre results and an inferiority complex I've only recently been able to shift.

It might be better nowadays, but my experience as a pupil there was fucking dreadful. I sometimes wonder if my life would have been better if I'd gone to Hyndland instead.
