We did try to build high and affordable but unfortunately we didn’t offer the infrastructure or living standards required of modern living so a lot of the high rises have been demolished.
We need governmental policies that put people before profit. Chase sustainability rather than pursuing growth.
At the moment the pursuit of growth in affluent markets is what is causing such ructions for lesser earners. If you can be sure that you could afford a decent home and be paid a reasonable wage then you have the basics to thrive. |
