Teachers are not on strike next week, it's all the other staff around them that is. I think there is some concern for teachers that they might be reprimanded if they don't show up for work. The schools might be closed to the kids but teachers are still expected to be there as they are paid for those days (Meetings? In-service training days? Class cleaning?).
