Comment	Yeah I agree with this. Jail has 3 purposes - to punish people for their crimes - to rehabilitate them so it doesn’t happen again - keep them off the streets during both of these processes Depending on where you stand, those first 2 can be argued about as to what’s important. But I would say the 3rd one is paramount.

Yeah I agree with this. Jail has 3 purposes

- to rehabilitate them so it doesn’t happen again

- keep them off the streets during both of these processes

Depending on where you stand, those first 2 can be argued about as to what’s important. But I would say the 3rd one is paramount.
