| Comment | can attest. i grew up in ek and i even remember when centre west opened up. it started going downhill during the financial crisis of 08 and just never recovered. granted, this was the case for many shopping malls. i remember the management saying to my manager at the time, they couldn't put any charity shops in centre west because debenhams thought it made them look bad. which is fair enough but the charity shop i helped out in was constantly having to move because a bigger "brand" wanted that space or because of seemingly random rent hikes. |
