I've always thought a second bus station would be good - Buchanan Street is good hub for bus journeys via the M8 (north east) but I think we could do with something that is a central hub for local journeys and/or southside motorways (M8 south west, M77, M74)

Might not need to be a permanent thing but some of the empty Sauchiehall Street buildings could be good public buildings: I've daydreamed that the BHS building could make a good city centre library, Watt Bros a music hub with rehearsal rooms, performance spaces, cafe bars and cultural enterprises, Marks and Spencer a Scottish museum of slavery.
