Funny there was a guy from a letting agency talking to the BBC about how it's ridiculous and that they wouldn't ask a shop or pub to freeze their prices and they are unfairly singling out the private rental market. Just seemed like such a poor example to use as firstly, a pint doesn't cost you 30-50% of your monthly take home pay and the prices in shops and pubs haven't shown the same massive increases over the past 5 or 6 years that we have seen in the private rental market.
