Having lived in both (ldn 2012-2015, ggow 2016-forevermore) I am bias but would pick Glasgow every time.

When you're young and have no financial dependancies London can be great, but it's an extortionate place to live where unless you're on big bucks (I was not, 16k at the start lol) it can be a struggle and you feel like you're missing out because so much is happening All. The. Time. However, it's so much easier/cheaper for trips abroad, food options are plentiful and there's so much culture to experience.

I loved my time there but it was also stressful. People are always rushing. Broadly speaking people are much colder. You have to live in a cupboard.

Glasgow has amazing culture, the friendliest people of all the places I've lived. More than enough food options and only a short jaunt to the highlands and islands to experience starry skies and nature.

Know it isn't always the case these days with cost of living crisis but when I moved back here after London took a pay cut and had a much richer life. Can always still visit London for shows and events. But wouldn't ever move back personally.
