| Comment | I think it’s a pattern of behaviour by enough men that if you weren’t a misogynist, why would you mirror that behaviour if only for one comment? In my experience if a man refers to a woman as an animal as a “joke” there are usually other misogynistic traits there and it’s not a one-off remark. People are more likely to make misogynist/racist/misandrist/ageist etc comments under a cloak of anonymity on the internet and as a woman who sees comments like this every day online, if you weren’t a misogynist, why would you add to that? |
