Comment | Got a massive soft spot for Woodlands Community Garden, have spent a lot of time there and it's just a magical wee oasis five minutes from city centre, often still and quiet even when town is busy, or if there's folk about you'll get some interesting chat. Also, love the area around the canal from claypits right round to pinkston watersports, and things around like Civic House and the DIY Skate Park and the Glue Factory and Scottish Opera doing events. It's got a lot going on. The aboreum at the Botanics is a lovely place to chill on a sunny day. Also fallen for the tennis/bowling green at Kelvingrove, you can play for free with the uni/kelvingrove as your backdrop, the sounds of the summer in the park for a soundtrack. Took a pal who was visiting and he couldn't believe it's free to do that in those surroundings and thought we live in some kind of socialist paradise. Aye, hunners really! |
