If you are trying to solve a complex problem in Excel, stop and think.

Would this be better done in a database? Probably. A stream application? Probably. A data lake fed into an AI? Probably.

Basically, if you are using Excel you are making everything worse for yourself and everyone else.

If you insist on continuing, then it is more important to learn how to analyse & breakdown the problem. Once you understand the steps and functions needs, you can then build up whatever Excel abomination that will now pollute the world.

As you learn to apply the functions etc, they will carry more meaning and be more memorable.

Disclaimer: I still look everything up (or reverse engineer from shitty macros) because no one could pay me enough to sacrifice neurons to that abhorrence of code.
