| Comment | Only one newspaper (Torygraph) initially claimed it was 12mil yet that’s an unconfirmed estimate. The Treasury responded to a FOI request stating that no public money was used for legal fees or for the settlement. The Queen apparently contributed 2mill which was confirmed, and significantly less than what you posted. I think she’d be damned if she contributed and damned if she didn’t. The victim deserved to be compensated. The money had to come from somewhere. |
