Done more than a few in my time. Sad to say but higher end venues make you more money. Lower end venues you can be lucky to make a tenner or often anything at all. People want car booty prices at car booty places. Same with community halls and church fayres. Now I would only do a higher end fair in a nicer part of town or in an Art Gallery or a hotel, etc,.

More posh and middle class venues are the places where you can make a profit after costs but quality is **essential** and some provenance helps to seal the deal. Jack your prices right up, beyond what you would pay yourself to start with.

People will haggle and toss your stuff aside when they don't get the deal they want. Be prepared to need a thick skin. The public can come across as quite rude and entitled (assume they are all Redditors)

Some venues require public liability insurance, some venues cover you in theirs but personally I would check first. Remember paper bags, price labels, a large float of change, a pen and a notepad. I always take my own table cloths and I have little battery operated LED lights to draw them in. Bring a friend or partner for when you need to go to the loo or go off on a browse.
