Not the best if you’re looking for a long walk, but the Greenbank Gardens are lovely all year. They have so many different plants and flowers it will give a lot of variety.

There are also a fair few county parks within an hour of the city. Muirshiel has a gorgeous waterfall and some nice forested areas. A lot of evergreens but the heather sometimes looks like glowing gold in the autumn light.
