Loads of people don’t drink, it’s totally normal. Many places will have a nice mocktail menu. There’s plenty of options in the city centre for family meals, and a fair amount of events and activities aimed at families and young kids.

I’d recommend checking out some places to visit like the transport museum as it’s a good day out for kids. In winter there will also be various Pantomimes at the theatres which are great entertainment for little ones. During the Christmas period there will be lots of family orientated events and festivals.

Into skiing or snowboarding? Xsite at Braehead does lessons for kids. Not sure where you will be staying but there are also plenty of mother & toddler groups around.

In terms of expectations. Eh, I’m not sure how it differs from US tbh. Just don’t let them run around naked. Glasgow is an incredibly diverse city so I wouldn’t say there’s a set standard for manners or dress. It’ll depend more on where you are going e.g. a five star venue might have rules. I don’t think there’s anything unique about expectations that isn’t pretty standard in most cities. Just don’t let your kids run about the streets completely feral.
