Comment	It can be because of traffic. Going through the town can be quicker than going M8. Google will not show it to you because there are bus/taxi/lorry gates in the city centre so it would not route you through this. But I used to drive trucks in Glasgow and it was often quicker to go through the town than be stuck on the motorway.
