| Comment | There isn't a bunker under George Square, but there is a tunnel which runs from the City Chambers to a nearby lane (North Court). There is a 1970s tunnel running from Dial House to Cathedral street which contains BT Openreach infrastructure, and most buildings in the City Centre have large basements running the length of each block, many of which are now truncated for security reasons. These have often given rise to rumours of "old Victorian streets full of shops" for some bizarre reason. |
