Check what you can install. Some places have conservation orders and you may need to replace with wood (still double glazed) or wood-looking (composite). There may be restrictions on design and colour.

Yes, lots of people ignore this but *it can* bite you in the ass; do check deeds, council etc.

When we had work done on a listed building (modern wood frames with double glazing) we use Creative Glazing who were great.
