Shawlands is an area that struggles with the high density of its housing versus public services/local amenities.
The proposed number of flats puts a strain on local schools/ Drs/ Dentists/ Parking but offers nothing in return.
It is also far taller than anything (excepting a church spire) in the locality.
What has been proposed is expensive even for the area.
It can’t be all take take take. They’re guaranteed to make a profit. Why not offer more varied housing options or improvements to the public realm? |
