Clan skates do surf trips or at least they did. Pease Bay on the east coast is popular for a day trip or a bit further away on the west coast Machrihanish. Used to be a guy in Dunbar that does hire and coaching at Pease bay. Not sure if he’s still doing it.
There’s lots of spots across the country but for most you’d need to go for a weekend really like the western isles. Thurso on the north coast for example has a reef that produces the best wave in Europe but it’s like a 6 hour drive.
Jamie from Clan is a real legend though and a top bloke. Former Scottish champion in skating and surfing back in the 80s. Would recommend dropping in. |
