Hey, thanks for your reply. A few months ago, our landlord found someone to fix our faulty shower, and the same guy was meant to retile the bathroom (tiles are loose) and remove the mould, but that fell through. Due to my pestering the landlord is now in contact with someone else, but I'm worried he's just planning to get someone to paint over the mould rather than properly fix it. Also, I first mentioned the mould to him in March this year, so he's known for ages. I can't help but think months will pass again and there will have been no progress.

Not sure if he's registered; will have to look that up. We do have alarms that he bought (though we had to put them up). The windows are dodgy/broken with almost no insulation, which I have mentioned but it's just not a priority right now with the mould. We also didn't pay a deposit, which will make it easier to move out (may be sooner rather than later), but as you say that's not easy at the moment.

Do you think the council could help in terms of making him commit to a long-term solution, rather than cheap short-term ones? I feel like no one wants to carry out the work because he's not willing to solve the problem properly.
