Absolutely fair advice. The answer is that the location is ideal for me (about to start my PhD at Glasgow Uni, which is a 10 min walk away) and the rent is cheap for the area. I guess it's cheap for a reason 😕 Realistically I think we will be looking to move soon though. As you say, the stress headache this is giving me is not worth it.
