| Comment | I left in April, but I still haven’t found a steady home - still in the process. From the turbulent time I’ve had since leaving, I’d recommend finding somewhere secure you are definitely happy with moving to, if you do decide to move in the end.
My boyfriend’s bathroom also had a super bad damp problem for a long long time (I think at least a year) and just in the last week has work started getting done - the whole thing there is having to be ripped out. He just kept getting on at the landlord concerning it. Him and his flatmate also got £100 of their rent until the work got done so maybe worth asking for a reduced rent rate until then.
Your home is one of the most important, stabilising factors in your life. You wanna make sure you’re somewhere safe that you love.
The only advice I could give has already been given - contacting citizens advice and joining living rent.
